In the Ladera Heights neighborhood of Los Angeles, masked and armed DHS goons abducted a taco vendor outside a Home Depot. Watch the video here.

“[Bystander Aleca Le Blanc] said the agents were armed and pushed the woman into an unmarked SUV. Some of the agents’ vests appeared to have a Border Patrol insignia. As bystanders were heard yelling, “They’re kidnapping her!” the agents reportedly threw tear gas at the group before they drove off. “These guys throw three canisters of tear gas at the five of us who were standing around,” Le Blanc said. The street food vendor was later identified as Selena Vanessa Hernandez Ramirez, 25, from El Salvador. She is also reportedly the mother of a 5-year-old boy. “Here’s the thing, whether she has a criminal record or not, the [agents] didn’t even know who she was,” Le Blanc. “She was clearly just being profiled, chasing a random woman with brown skin down the street.” (Emphasis mine.)

“The Defense Department is setting up two more military buffer zones along the southwestern U.S. border with Mexico. That brings to four the number of "National Defense Areas" where U.S. military personnel can temporarily detain undocumented migrants for trespassing on what are now considered to be extensions of U.S. military bases. U.S. military personnel operating in the buffer zones do not carry out law enforcement duties, but can temporarily detain any trespassers, as they would at any military base, until they are transferred to U.S. Customs and Border Protection personnel. The Air Force announced in a news release Wednesday that a 250-mile stretch of the border in Texas along the Rio Grande River in Cameron and Hidalgo counties will be transferred from the International Boundary and Water Commission and be considered a part of Joint Base San Antonio, Texas. Another buffer zone will be established in western Arizona and will be considered a part of Marine Corps Air Station, Yuma, according to a U.S. official.” - ABC News, June 25, 2025.

“The Trump administration is planning to dismiss asylum claims for potentially hundreds of thousands of migrants in the United States and then make them immediately deportable as part of the president’s sweeping immigration crackdown, according to two sources familiar with the matter. It marks the latest in a series of moves by the administration to bar migrants from receiving protections in the US. As federal authorities come under pressure to deliver historic immigration arrest numbers, administration officials have quietly been working on efforts to make more people eligible for removal. The people being targeted in this case are those who entered the US unlawfully and later applied for asylum, the sources said. Their cases are expected to be closed, therefore leaving them at risk of deportation. It could affect hundreds of thousands of asylum applicants.” - CNN, June 25, 2025.
