“A dairy farmer says his livelihood was upended Tuesday when federal agents raided his operation in Lovington and arrested nearly a dozen workers. Isaak Bos said masked Homeland Security Investigations agents armed with rifles swept onto the property without warning, brushing past signs asking visitors to check in as a protective measure against H5 bird flu. Bos said the surprise raid followed an audit of the dairy’s employment records a few months ago. The dairy was not accused of wrongdoing, but Bos said he was required to fire 24 employees on the spot Tuesday, as well as the 11 who were arrested.” - Algernon D'Ammassa, Albuquerque Journal, June 7, 2025.

Now that our brave (masked and armed!) HSI agents have rid us of 35 Terrorist Farm Workers, I’m calling on all Loyal Americans to step up and fill this gap in employment.

• Since the LAPD and the National Guard are so weak and woke, Trump is sending in the Marines: “More than 700 Marines based out of the Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center in California have been mobilized to respond to the protests in Los Angeles, and the troops will join the thousands of National Guard members who were activated by President Donald Trump over the weekend without the consent of California’s governor or LA’s mayor. The deployment of the full Marine battalion marks a significant escalation in Trump’s use of the military as a show of force against protesters, but it is still unclear what their specific task will be once in LA, sources told CNN.”

• California sues Trump: “In a lawsuit being filed today, Attorney General Bonta and Governor Newsom will ask the court to hold that the President and Department of Defense’s orders federalizing the California National Guard are unlawful, arguing that:

  • The federalization of the California National Guard deprives California of resources to protect itself and its citizens, and of critical responders in the event of a state emergency.

  • 10 U.S.C. 12406 requires that the Governor consent to federalization of the National Guard, which Governor Newsom was not given the opportunity to do prior to their deployment.

  • The President’s unlawful order infringes on Governor Newsom’s role as Commander-in-Chief of the California National Guard and violates the state’s sovereign right to control and have available its National Guard in the absence of a lawful invocation of federal power.

So, a lot of action in DC and LA, but I really think the big story is about the cows in New Mexico who need help, stat.
